I fell in love with Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethrope's style a year ago when I read 'Just Kids,' Smith's amazing memoir of their lives together. The couple's sultry photos from 1970s remind me of all the best about the era: colliding worlds of music, poetry, rock and roll, art, photography-all exploding with freedom and sensuality.
Some few days ago I visited my current fave thrift store and came across this vintage Diesel top which has, in my opinion, this sort of Smith and Mapplethrope vibe.
